Anyone! This challenge is a great adventure for families, groups, or solo travelers.  Children under 18 must have an adult with them at all times.  This is challenge is a good fit for kids as young as 4 with adult help.

Your adventure clues can be picked up at the starting location, JiLLy’s on Asbury at 1014 Asbury Ave, Ocean City.  Clues can be picked up during operating hours, please check the JiLLy’s website for up to date hours.  https://jillysocnj.com/jillys-on-asbury/

We suggest bringing comfortable shoes, a camera, and a sense of adventure!  You will also need internet access for a small portion of the challenge.

We strongly caution you against using the internet for anything other than what the clues direct in challenge.  Looking up answers to puzzles may lead you astray. 

You need an adventure pass for each person age 4 or older.  Each participant will receive a clue paper which if completed can be redeemed for the 2023 Challenge Coin. 

The adventure is designed to last a few hours.  You are free to stop and restart the challenge at any time.  You can even come back another day to continue it.  You have until Labor Day to complete the challenge.

The adventure has unlimited availability 7 days a week and does not sell out.  You can participate in the challenge anytime from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  However, we rely on many business in Ocean City to help us with the challenge, and so certain portions will be subject to those businesses operating hours.  We suggest you plan to complete the challenge during the day time hours.

Lodging is not required for the challenge and it can be completed in one day.

Come back as often as you need during the season to finish the challenge.  If you are really stuck and pressed for time, clues will be available on a private page on our website which you will be able to access.

The clue pick up is at JiLLy’s on Asbury on Asbury Avenue. All remaining clues will be in walkable locations on the boardwalk between 6th and 17th Street.  You will not need to go on to the beach.

The boardwalk total walking distance for finding all the clues is approximately 1.5-2 miles total.

For this year’s challenge, you will not need to go on the beach or sand. All of the clues will be accessible from the boardwalk and stores.
